    Wonderful picture, angelic, but I bet she is a little pistol.
    Your work with the lighting on her face reminds me of Renaissance paintings where
    the artist is modeling the form by the use of chiaroscuro. Beautiful John.

    Thank you so much Tina! I am so glad you like “Lilyanna.” And equally, I very much appreciate your understanding of where I was trying to take it. But then again, you were an art history major… I only wish I had more such subjects with whom to develop the technique further. I have always been most intrigued by the Old Masters and Renaissance artists and their use and understanding of light.

    And yes, she is a pistol!

    Thanks Diana, she is a mutual friend’s granddaughter, and is of course, an angel. I’m sure she has never done anything bad… The shot was done on Christmas Day, last year. And yes, for a price, I could make Queen Elizabeth look like that…
